BASS Island Line says it is looking forward to being briefed on the outcomes of a meeting this week between King Island Beef Producers Group and TasPorts operations and environmental representatives.
According to BIL (a TasPorts subsidiary) the meeting will discuss environmental practices and waste management when moving cattle to and from the ports.
“Regular meetings such as this between stakeholders help to continually improve services for local business and the King Island community,” BIL said in a statement.
John Duigan is understood to have experienced minor delays recently due to poor weather.
Bass Strait is a notoriously rough stretch of water and is exposed to strong winds from the south, particularly during winter.
