THE bulker Rena (IMO 9464780) was this morning released from arrest less than a week after being arrested at anchor off Hay Point on June 30.
The plaintiff in the arrest case is reported to be Quadra Commodities SA, a Switzerland-based agricultural trading and logistics company.
As of midday July 5, the vessel was still at Hay Point anchorage, according to Lloyd’s List Intelligence.
The ship is an 81,700-DWT Bahamas-flagged vessel built in 2011.
The vessel’s beneficial owner is listed as the Notias Family, its registered owner is Saint Apostles Steamship Incorporated. Rena’s commercial operator is Independence Maritime Agency Incorporated and its technical manager is Trojan Maritime Incorporated.
It is classed by Lloyd’s Register, and its P&I club is listed as West of England Mutual Shipowners Protection & Indemnity Association (Luxemburg).
