CARGO Club members and their guests made the epic journey to the town of Beveridge north of Melbourne to play eighteen holes at Club Mandalay golf course.

But it wasn’t just for fun (although it was). The event was also a fundraiser for research into treatment for Cri Du Chat syndrome, raising just over $15,000 for the cause.

Participants were blessed with good weather with conditions being neither chilly nor too hot.

Winners on the day were the team from Wholesale Logistics made up of Colin Speechley, Ian Jones, Joe Montaganese and Kyle Hussey.

The runners up were the team from Insync Personel.

Club Mandalay course was designed by former British Open Champion Peter Thomson and is about a 45-minute drive north of Melbourne CBD.

According to the club website, it is ranked number 45 in Australia’s Top 100 Golf Courses.
