CMA CGM looks for digital growth with new appointment

FRENCH shipping giant, CMA CGM, has announced the appointment of Rajesh Krishnamurthy as its group senior vice president IT and transformations, effective from February 12.

The appointment is part of an effort to deliver on ambitions to become an industry leader in digital solutions.

Digitalisation was listed among CMA CGM chief executive Rodolphe Saadé’s five strategic priorities and as a lever for growth, differentiation and performance.

Rajesh Krishnamurthy previously held senior roles for Infosys, including as its president – head of Europe and global head energy, utilities, telecommunications and services.

According to CMA CGM, he has spent most of his career in the fields of IT and transformation.

He was also said to be an integral part of the Infosys “success story”.

Rajesh Krishnamurthy graduated in electronics engineering from the University of Pune, one of India’s top universities.

CMA CGM is a major liner in the Australian market, as well as parent company of ANL.
