PORT of Melbourne has welcomed a new bulker to its waters with the recent arrival of the Nord Colorado.
Nord Colorado left a Japanese shipyard in January and was chartered by Emerald Grain to collect a load of barley for Asia.
Port of Melbourne business development manager Don Forsdyke this week presented a plaque to the ship’s master, Captain Danilo Villacampa, and the representative of the shipping company, Norden’s head of cargo Christian Hornum.
A delegation from Emerald Shipping was on hand to see the presentation and get a tour of the ship.
Nord Colorado (IMO 9805661) is flagged in Singapore.
According to marinetraffic.com, it is 200 metres long and 32 metres wide.
DCN accessed the ship as a guest of Emerald Grain.
