CHIEF executive and managing director of ANL, John Lines, has announced his retirement, effective from the end of February 2018.
Mr Lines has been with ANL for almost half a century, the past 19 years as its leader since the takeover by French giant CMA CGM.
His replacement is to be Xavier Eiglier from CMA CGM.
Over the journey, Mr Lines has been vocal about issues facing shipping and logistics, for example the Channel Deepening Project in Port Phillip Bay and plans for Webb Dock.
In his time at the helm, ANL has been a generous donor to events such as the Melbourne Mission to Seafarers Maritime Art Prize.
Mr Lines is also a previous Hall of Fame inductee as part of the Australian Shipping and Maritime Industry Awards.
