PROMINENT global provider of roadside fleet and mobile asset management solutions, MiX Telematics, has done a deal with Nuonic, a data analytics firm, to provide a solution aimed at easing the burden of calculating fuel tax credits.
According to a statement, Nuonic has developed a technology platform – PRISM, which uses MiX Telematics vehicle and GPS data to calculate fuel tax credit claims.
“The process for fuel tax claims can be complex, time-consuming and subjected to a certain level of inaccuracies,” said Brodie von Berg, managing director Middle East and Australasia for MiX Telematics.
“Organisations can end up missing out on valuable refunds not to mention spending countless hours on administering fuel tax claims.”
Mr von Berg said the partnership with Nuonic would help businesses to get more from their fuel tax claims. The combined solution is expected to offer accurate and advanced location information and to look at retrospective claims to see if additional uplift in credits could be applied.
Finally, many hours typically spent administering fuel tax claims are expected to be reduced and be reallocated to other parts of the business.
