MSC announced on Friday that it would institute a new, year-round service to New Zealand’s Northport as a part of its Kiwi Express schedule.
The decision follows a “highly successful” seasonal call at the port earlier this year.
MSC general manager New Zealand Steve Wright said the company was “delighted” to add Northport as a year-round call on the Kiwi Express.
“It is a noticeable and important inclusion for all exporters and importers in the Northland region, as they now have direct access to all international markets for their cargo,” he said.
“Our focus is on providing the highest standards of reliability and stability, in which our customers can continue to have great confidence.”
MSC reckons local exporters should make significant cost savings to their supply chain with the new call at Northport.
