ROCHELLE Macdonald has been appointed CEO of Mid West Ports Authority, scheduled to start in the role on 17 September.
MWPA board chairman John Elkington appointed Ms Macdonald to the role after an extensive recruitment process.
Ms Macdonald has extensive experience in the maritime industry, including time in high-level management at North Queensland Bulk Ports and at Dampier Port Authority. She also holds degrees from Harvard Business School; University of Technology, Sydney; Curtin University; and University of Tasmania.
The previous CEO, Peter Klein, stepped down from the role in April after being at the helm since 2006.
Steve Lewis served as interim CEO during the period since Mr Klein’s departure, and according to a statement from MWPA, will return to his home base in Perth after a handover period.
