FELIX Richter was this weekend appointed CEO of Marsden Maritime Holdings, which operates Northport, in addition to other business activities in the greater Marsden Point area.

Mr Richter has more than 17 years’ experience in management, leadership and civil engineering roles both in New Zealand and internationally, according to a statement to the NSX.

He comes to Marsden Maritime Holdings after 10 years with WSP-Opus in Whangarei, where his most recent role was manager: civil and structural.

Mr Richter is a chartered professional engineer, holding a bachelor of engineering with honours in Civil Engineering from the University of Technology in Dresden, Germany.

Marsden Maritime board chairman Sir John Goulter said the board was “delighted” to welcome Mr Richter to the company.

“At this stage in Marsden Maritime’s growth, where we are experiencing a very strong level of enquiry about business development at Marsden Point, these attributes are an excellent match, both now and for the future,” he said.

“Felix will join the Company in mid-August,” Sir Goulter noted.
