NORTH Queensland Bulk Ports is on the lookout for a new CEO after Steve Lewis departed the role late last year, returning to his home state of Western Australia.
An NQBP spokesperson said Mr Lewis had departed on 22 December and the board and management had been working with him over several months to ensure a smooth transition.
“After nearly three and a half years as CEO, the board and Mr Lewis mutually agreed the time was right for a new leader to take NQBP forward to the next level in its journey to become a world leader of sustainable port trade and development,” the spokesperson said.
“We thank Mr Lewis for his service.”
In the meantime, NQBP general manager trade and operations is working as acting CEO in January and February.
NQBP general manager engineering and trade Dr Rochelle Macdonald will then take over as acting CEO during March and April.
