NSW Ports cleans up environment

VOLUNTEERS at Port Botany and Port Kembla convened to clean up the local environment.

NSW Ports hosted Business Clean Up Australia Day events and were joined by representatives from local businesses and other port stakeholders at both ports.

At Port Botany volunteers collected more than 40 bags of general rubbish and recyclables from Prince of Wales Drive Port Botany and Yarra Bay. The team also picked up a shopping trolley, three rideshare bikes, a body board and a stereo system.

At Port Kembla, volunteers collected a ute-load of rubbish from Heritage Park and foreshore areas.

The Port Botany team comprised representatives from NSW Ports’ tenants Vopak, Patrick, DP World Australia and Hutchison Ports.

For the Port Kembla clean team, NSW Ports’ team was joined by representatives from PKCT, Bluescope and Quattro Ports.
