THE Northern Territory government is working to strengthen relationships with two of the largest importers of Territory cattle and buffalo.
NT primary industry and resources minister Ken Vowles has departed on a trip to Indonesia and Vietnam, accompanied by representatives from the Territory’s pastoral and live export industries.
Mr Vowles said there was “plenty of room for growth” in the Territory’s live export industry.
“Ministerial visits to countries we export to strengthen existing relationships and create new opportunities for Territory industries,” he said.
“Representatives from the NT Livestock Exporters Association, NT Cattlemen’s Association and NT Buffalo Industry Council will join me on this trip, which will open doors for their organisations.”
