A FRIDAY lunch at the Mantra Tullamarine in Melbourne proved both entertaining and informative.
Speakers included Leon Peetoom from Victoria International Container Terminal who outlined the development of the project and how it is likely to progress.
Then Travis Brooks-Garrett of the Freight and Trade Alliance updated Cargo Club members on policy developments at the government level.
An excellent lunch was served washed down with ale and wine.
Later, Neil Chambers of the Container Transport Alliance of Australia gave a lively presentation about infrastructure challenges close to the Port of Melbourne.
Perhaps it was the sense of festivity being in the midst of the AFL finals, but the lunch continued until close on 4pm, with everyone in the best of spirits.
