A REFRESHING warm Melbourne provided a pleasant backdrop for the Pacific International Lines 50th anniversary celebrations.
The event was held at the swanky Mon Bijou bar, off Flinders Lane, in the CBD, a venue located up on high with stunning views of the city and beyond.
Guests included a host of staff, clients and people from the broader shipping and logistics community.
Among the guests was PIL deputy chairman, Peter Chang, whose father, Mr Y C Chang (now a spritely 99 years old), founded the company back in 1967.
Mr Chang gave a short speech noting the growth of the company and its current market position, also thanking everyone who had contributed over the journey.
Managing director of affiliate Pacific Asia Express, Barry Misiurak, also spoke to the gathering.
Drinks flowed, the sun went down, the stars came out and after several pleasant hours, everyone went home happy.
