PATRICK’S Port Botany facility has been shut down (Friday) today for maintenance.
A spokesman had been notified three times in January in the lead-up to the works.
“This week is a low volume week and we have no vessels alongside over the shutdown period (Friday day shift),” the spokesman said.
“As per Port Botany Landside Improvement Strategy PBLIS regulations we have had the closure approved by TfNSW.”
The spokesman said import storage had been adjusted for five vessels (providing one additional day of free storage for transport operators).
“We are carrying out a variety of yard civil works and technology upgrades over this time,” he said.
“Additional slots have been provided to industry to assist.”
