PROGRESS has been made towards resolving the dispute between logistics company Qube and the Maritime Union.
A spokesman for Qube said they “and the MUA have reached an in principle agreement for employees in Melbourne”.
“The new agreement was endorsed by employees this afternoon to take to a formal vote over the next four weeks,” the spokesman said.
“The new agreement is in line with the agreements reached at other ports and provides Qube with the necessary flexibility to service its customers.”
The Qube application to terminate the agreement is to be put on hold ahead of the formal vote.
