BEACHSIDE resort town Lorne will remain the host town for the Victorian Transport Association annual State Conference.

The date has been moved forward to March, however, a change from the usual timing of late May or early June.

VTA chief executive Peter Anderson said the switch was in order to avoid a clash with other transport industry events.

β€œI am pleased to confirm we will be returning to Mantra Lorne on the Great Ocean Road,” Mr Anderson said.

β€œAn advantage of having the conference earlier than usual is that we should benefit from warmer weather and more daylight, enabling us to take full advantage of this great location.”

More information about the conference is expected in weeks to come.

The conference is to be held from Sunday March 18 until Tuesday March 20.
