NSW Ports has announced a three-year partnership with Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club.

Chief executive and Maroubra SLSC president Danny Donohoe launched the partnership at the weekly Nippers session on the sands at Maroubra.

Ms Calfas said NSW Ports wanted to help keep the community safe “in the coastal areas where we work”.

“Working with Maroubra SLSC is one way NSW Ports is giving back to the community in the form of safety education and support for the vital role surf lifesavers play in our community,” Ms Calfas said.

Maroubra SLSC president Danny Donohoe said they were thrilled to connect with NSW Ports as a partner.

“We share their commitment to community education and beach safety and value their contribution to our local community,” Mr Donohoe said.

“This relationship will help us educate Nippers on life saving techniques to help keep the Maroubra community safe at the beach”.

NSW Ports has built several links with local schools and relationships with local voluntary organisations including the Australian National Maritime Museum, Port Kembla SLSC and Conservation Volunteers Australia.
