AFTER announcing a new chapter president in New South Wales recently, the Australasian Supply Chain Institute is now seeking leaders in other states, namely Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia.
These are voluntary roles that involve communicating the ASCI mission to their local community, presenting at ASCI events and conferences, developing a growth membership strategy for the state and building relationships with community stakeholders.
“May I encourage you to take this opportunity to give back to your industry, ensure its sustainability and significantly raise your profile in the supply chain management community,” ASCI CEO Ivan Imparato said.
In return the ASCI national office offers a platform for building a solid professional network as well as the opportunity to contribute to ASCI and external media engagement.
“Since taking on the role of ASCI state president for NSW I have found that the traditional model of a chapter committee, with set roles and responsibilities, is no longer sustainable in today’s fast paced working environment,” ASCI NSW president, Brendan O’Keeffe, said.
“With the support of the ASCI national office, I’m looking for supply chain practitioners who can take on ambassador roles, tapping into their networks or resources, for the greater good of the community.
“There are endless possibilities of which I am excited to be exploring with a senior team of ASCI members and I look forward to working with new chapter presidents from other states.”
To be eligible, candidates must be a member of ASCI. To apply, candidates need to submit a resume and/or LinkedIn profile to the national iffice before Friday 5 July 2019.
Announcements will be made by Friday 19 July.
