A NEW website launched by the National Road Transport Association showcases the diversity of road transport careers and connects job seekers and employers, providing a new way to search and post jobs for the industry.

“The road transport industry is the lifeline of the Australian economy, employing more than 200,000 people and contributing over $200bn to the economy each year. The ever-increasing shortage of skilled workers continues to be the biggest challenge for our industry,” Warren Clark, NatRoad CEO, said.

“Many NatRoad members come to us with the same issue: the inability to fill transport and warehousing vacancies. We have launched a dedicated portal that centralises job opportunities within the industry and provides a common platform for job seekers and employers to connect.”

The Road Transport Careers website offers comprehensive information and tools to help job seekers identify career paths in the transport industry and learn about accreditation programs that will help prepare them for those jobs.

The website also provides resources for employers on how to implement effective recruitment and retention strategies. The portal will help employers understand how to fill vacancies, build long-term career paths for staff and advice on the Government’s Apprenticeships Incentives Program.
