GLADSTONE Ports Corporation has officially opened its new East Shores 1B parkland precinct to the public.

And being in Queensland and with COVID-19 seemingly in check, people are able to go out and enjoy immediately.

The parklands, on the waterfront, have been described as Gladstone’s “green jewel”.

“We know East Shores 1B will be just as big as a success as East Shores 1A – if not bigger,” a spokesperson for GPC said.

“At Gladstone Ports Corporation, we’re so proud to be able to deliver the multi-million-dollar facility and provide the community with a waterfront café, micro-brewery, fitness area, basketball hoops and plenty of green space.

“Our community is our home and we’re always looking for ways to make it the best it can be.”
