NAPIER Port and long-time customer, Winstone Pulp International, have entered into an agreement for a 10-year contract renewal for exports to be handled from Napier Port.

Napier Port is New Zealand’s fourth largest port by container volume and the main gateway for Hawke’s Bay exports.

The renewed contract extends WPI’s commitment to Napier Port for an additional ten years, with two further five-year rights of renewal. As one of Napier Port’s largest customers, WPI supplies customers throughout the world with forestry fibre products including pulp and milled lumber.

Napier Port CEO Todd Dawson says the company values it relationship with WPI and is pleased to see it continue.

“This announcement is a welcome endorsement of the long-term value that Napier Port is able to deliver for WPI.

“It also delivers on the port’s strategic plans to support regional growth in Hawke’s Bay and the wider central North Island and be the port of choice for customers like WPI.”
