DISCHARGE operations and inspection work on the ONE Apus are continuing after the ship lost more than 1800 containers overboard as it sailed from Yantian to Long Beach in early December.

According to a statement from ONE, 212 boxed had been unloaded as of last week. The ship arrived at Kobe on 9 December.

“Transloading of the discharged and damaged containers has commenced and is ongoing,” the statement reads.

Cargo discharge operations and inspection work was suspended during the Japanese New Year holiday from 30 December to 4 January.
