DR ROCHELLE Macdonald is stepping down from the CEO role at Mid West Ports Authority, and will return to Queensland, according to MWPA chair Captain Noel Hart.

“Rochelle has contributed significantly to MWPA’s success in the nearly two and a half years since her appointment. Her ability to identify business improvement opportunities and implement change accordingly has resulted in important enhancements across our operations,” Captain Hart said.

“Rochelle can be justly proud of her significant and positive legacy across all facets of the Port’s business. We wish Rochelle every success and happiness in her future endeavours, and sincerely thank her for her leadership and guidance during her time at MWPA”.

Dr Macdonald won the award for Women in Shipping & Maritime Logistics at the 2019 DCN Australian Shipping & Maritime Awards in Melbourne. She was previously acting CEO at NQBP, as well as general manager – engineering and development, also at NQBP.

Dr Macdonald’s last day at MWPA will be in April 2021. The recruitment process for a replacement CEO will commence immediately.
