A SCHOLARSHIP allowing a young person to study for the CBFCA’s TLI50316 – Diploma of international Freight Forwarding has been announced by The Cargo Club.

The scholarship was announced during a Cargo Club lunch in Melbourne recently.

The Diploma of International Freight Forwarding was created in recognition of the huge gap in the provision of structured training that existed in the international freight forwarding sector, a sector that up until now did not have a course specifically created for it at this level.

This course is offered by the CBFCA over two semesters (12 months) and includes nine core units of study and 3 electives.

The Diploma of International Freight Forwarding (provided it is delivered by the CBFCA) is recognised by FIATA (the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations) as the pre-requisite for the awarding of the prestigious FIATA Diploma. Students who complete the Diploma with the CBFCA are automatically eligible to receive the globally recognised FIATA Diploma, the gold standard worldwide.

The fee for the TLI50316 – Diploma of international Freight Forwarding is $3,850.00 (No GST) which represents fantastic value when compared to other Diplomas in the VET education marketplace.

Steve Brogan from the Cargo Club said they thought “it would be a great idea if the club offered a scholarship to a young person who already is working at one of the CBFCA member companies each year to support growth in the younger generation coming into our industry”.

“Both The Cargo Club and the CBFCA would like to be more involved together within our industry and with this new scholarship between us we believe we is a great way to assist the younger generation and also introduce members of the CBFCA to The Cargo Club with regards to our event and charity work that benefits our industry,” Mr Brogan said.
