Rental Fleet Manager

We are now looking for an ambitious and experienced Rental Fleet Manager to join our team in Upper Mt Gravatt. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maximizing fleet utilisation, fostering client relationships, and driving growth in our rental business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximise Fleet Utilisation: Ensure optimal usage of the company’s extensive rental fleet.
  • Client Relationships: Establish and maintain both current and new client relationships to foster business growth.
  • Hire Procedures Management: Oversee on-hire and off-hire procedures in line with customer expectations.
  • Cost Management: Manage damage spending and expense recovery in consultation with the Sales Managers, Account Managers and Salespeople.
  • Invoice Management: Check and authorise transport and sub-hire invoices.
  • Transport Strategy: Review and implement effective transport strategies.
  • Sales and Client Contact: Build the client base through robust sales and customer contact initiatives.
  • Liaison with 3rd Party Depots: Coordinate with the service department to prioritize equipment availability.
  • Business Development Support: Ensure effective planning and execution of call cycle and customer visitation plans for all key clients.
  • Stock Management: Conduct regular stock takes of hire assets.
  • KPI Establishment: Develop and maintain reportable KPIs for fleet performance.
  • CRM Maintenance: Efficiently maintain the rental CRM system.

Successful Candidate Will Require:

  • Sales: Proven record in being able successfully grow a fleet of assets, preferably in the Shipping Containers arena.
  • Technical Knowledge: Technical understanding of Shipping Containers, and all their sub variants.
  • Driven and Passionate: Results-oriented with a passion for success.
  • Relationship Building Skills: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships, both internally and externally to the business.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial insight and problem-solving skills.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent planning and organisational abilities.
  • Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional Presentation: Well-presented and organised.
  • Team Player: Great attitude with a collaborative and can-do approach.
