PORT OF ALBANY – EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR THE USE OF THE PORT FOR THE PURPOSES OF TRADE
The Port of Albany (Port) is located 400km south of Perth within the City of Albany. Further information on the Port can be found in Part C below.
The Port has capacity for additional trade and Southern Ports is seeking Expressions of Interest from proponents interested in either establishing or aggregating new trade through the Port. Potential operating models include:
- direct loading/unloading of vessels;
- loading/unloading through Port common use infrastructure (either existing or proposed); or
- loading/unloading though privately owned infrastructure (either existing or proposed).
Product storage options will be dependent on product type and include:
- open stockpiling within the Port;
- shed storage within Port;
- off-Port stockpiling/storage.
To assist in the facilitation of trade, there is approximately 5.8 hectares of vacant land (some with associated vacant facilities) around the Berth 6 area at Port of Albany.
In order to assess market interest for additional trade at the Port, Southern Ports is seeking Expressions of Interest from the market.
Southern Ports invites suitably qualified and experienced Respondents to submit an Expression of Interest in response to this Request in accordance with the Request Conditions.
3. SUBMISSION OF OFFER
The Respondent must submit the Expression of Interest (as per Part C – Offer) electronically by uploading to Tenders WA at www.tenders.wa.gov.au.
Tenders WA can facilitate the uploading of files to a maximum 100MB limit per upload request.
The Respondent must be registered on Tenders WA to submit an offer electronically.

4. OFFER VALIDITY PERIOD
The Offer Validity Period is for a period of 6 months.

If a Respondent wishes to discuss or clarify any aspect of this Request with other Southern Ports’ personnel (eg, Regional Manager Albany, Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, General Manager Port Development), such a request must be made electronically by email to the Southern Ports Contact Person.
6. SITE VISIT
A non-mandatory site visit for Respondents will be conducted at:

If the Respondent wishes to participate in the non-mandatory Site Visit, the Respondent is requested to confirm its attendance by no later than 2:30 PM Wednesday, 19 May 2021, Western Australia by completing the online registration form. Each person wishing to attend must complete a separate registration.
