FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has teamed up with online freight marketplace Freightos to provide information about online bookings, pricing and capacity.

CMA CGM (the parent company of ANL) rates are now available free of charge on the Freightos website (freightos.com).

CMA CGM says this development marks an important change for industry because information about key trade lanes and functions like passenger travel or ecommerce can be obtained “within seconds”.

CMA CGM commercial agencies network Mathieu Friedberg said the initiative would benefit customers.

“We’ve been on a journey to provide our customers with innovative offerings to ensure them the best shipping experience,” he said.

“This partnership raises the bar for ourselves, and the industry, with this important step into the digital era, selling directly to shippers on Freightos.”

Freightos chief executive Zvi Schreiber said the agreement was “a major step toward improving the customer experience”.

“With CMA CGM selling on Freightos, smaller shippers now have direct access to a major carrier with competitive pricing,” Mr Schreiber said.

“Additionally, shippers of all sizes will have access to guaranteed prices and capacity. This aligns with our goal to help logistics providers drive more value for customers, enabling smoother global trade, and ensuring more reliable and affordable supply of goods to end consumers.”
