A FORMER executive from Toll Group, Marcus Carmont, has taken up the newly created role of executive director of business development at TM Insight, a supply chain and industrial property advisory group.

Mr Carmont will be working alongside chief customer officer Nathan Bingham and other senior directors to deliver on TM Insight’s strategy to design and deliver supply chain, property and project management solutions that position their clients as clear industry leaders.

Nathan Bingham said he was excited by the appointment of Mr Carmont.

“In the last year, we have seen significant growth in our business, as logistics and supply chains become more important than ever throughout the region,” he said.

“It’s humbling that we can attract the level of talent to our business that Marcus brings.

“Marcus is one of the industry’s eminent experts who can help our clients design and execute leading-edge supply chains and property solutions.”

Mr Carmont brings more than 20 years of international supply chain experience, having held senior management positions at Toll Group and CEVA Logistics.

At his most recently held role at Toll Group, Mr Carmont led the sales and new business for the company’s global logistics business.

He worked with an array of global brands, such as Kimberly-Clark, Pernod, Asahi and Lindt, in optimising their supply chain strategies across North America, Asia including China, Australia and New Zealand.

“Without doubt, the current environment is forcing many leading organisations to rethink their supply chain strategies and rework their complex systems so they can be agile in responding to significant shifts in the market,” Mr Carmont said.

“I’m incredibly excited and looking forward to utilising my experience to continue to deliver on customer-led solutions to support TM Insight’s current and future customers in creating optimised, resilient and flexible supply chains.”

Mr Carmont will be based in Melbourne.
