SINO-Polish shipping company Chipolbrok has expanded its fleet with the newbuild Tai Xing, which has entered service this month.

The geared vessel is nearly 200 metres long, has a carrying capacity of 62,000 DWT and was built at the Chengxi Shipyard in China.

The vessel is the first of four new vessels to join the Chipolbrok fleet throughout 2022.

Darren Dumbleton, managing director of Quay Shipping, Chipolbrok’s agent in Australia, said, “As exclusive agents for Chipolbrok we are very excited by the launch of these huge vessels that will be deployed into existing trades, and look forward to cascading tonnage development in Australia trade in 2022.

“We have several major contracts in hand for wind, energy and other projects for 2022 and look forward to further servicing the break bulk market sector,” Mr Dumbleton said.
