PILBARA Ports Authority has delivered a total monthly throughput of 59.9 million tonnes for August 2021, which was down 1% on the previous corresponding period.
The Port of Port Hedland achieved a monthly throughput of 44.7 million tonnes, of which 43.9 million tonnes was iron ore exports. This was a 4% decrease when compared to August 2020.
Imports through the Port of Port Hedland totalled 226,000 tonnes, an increase of 20% compared to August 2020.
The Port of Dampier delivered a total throughput of 14.1 million tonnes, a 9% increase on the previous year.
Imports through the Port of Dampier totalled 108,000 tonnes, a decrease of 3% from August 2020.
