THE containership Kota Lembah has been involved in a collision with the fishing vessel Commission about 70 kilometres out from the Port of Tauranga in New Zealand on 28 July, according to the New Zealand Transport Accident Investigation Commission.

The TAIC said no injuries were reported from the four people on the fishing vessel, but there was some damage to the boat. No damage was reported to the Kota Lembah.

The Singapore-flagged Kota Lembah was built in 2013 and has a capacity of 4335 TEU. It is 265 metres long (LOA) and it is 32 metres wide.

Kota Lembah is currently at the Port of Napier and it is due at Tauranga on 7 August.
