SINGAPORE Airlines Cargo and cargo.one have announced a global partnership to bring the airline’s cargo services to the real-time digital booking platform and enable access to its large global user base of freight forwarders.

The airline said it decided to partner with cargo.one based on its strength of technology, its track record in facilitating digital booking and its collaborative approach for unlocking maximum airline agility and value from digital distribution.

Singapore Airlines senior vice president cargo Chin Yau Seng said, “Through our partnership with cargo.one, we have the ability to offer our customers an enhanced online booking experience with greater speed, flexibility, and convenience.

Moritz Claussen, founder and co-CEO of cargo.one, said, “Both companies share a strong motivation to continually raise standards and efficiencies in all aspects of cargo booking.

“Among many aspects, Singapore Airlines Cargo brings to the table invaluable Asia market insights.”

As part of its data-driven decision-making, the airline said it can now leverage the real time data feeds and market insights and benchmarks from cargo.one360 – cargo.one’s data and analytics system.

In the first phase, from July 2022 freight forwarders will have access to Singapore Airlines Cargo’s capacity using the cargo.one marketplace.

The Singapore Airlines cargo division serves more than 90 destinations with a fleet of seven Boeing 747-400 freighter aircraft, as well as via the SIA Group’s modern passenger aircraft fleet.
