THE CLOCK is ticking to get in your entries for the DCN Australian Shipping & Maritime Industry Awards.
Nominations close Wednesday 7 October, meaning there is just over a week remaining.
The awards celebrate excellence across the maritime sector and are open to people and businesses across the industry, the DCN Australian Shipping & Maritime Industry Awards have become the benchmark for excellence in Shipping & Maritime in Australia.
The year 2026 marks a new era, with the event being held for the first time in Brisbane, the venue being The Star overlooking the Brisbane River.
DCN publisher Lindsay Reed said holding the awards in Queensland was an important innovation and a great way to recognise the state’s unique maritime heritage.
“This is the first time in the awards' 30-year history that Brisbane has joined Sydney and Melbourne as a host city, and we're looking forward to bringing the industry together in Queensland to celebrate another year of remarkable achievements across this incredible industry.
“Queensland’s many coastal cities have significant maritime connections and holding the awards in Brisbane seems in many ways apt,” Ms Reed said.
“We look forward to seeing everyone in Brisbane this November for what is sure to be a special evening.”
The awards are being held on Thursday 26 November.
