DP WORLD has announced the opening of an 11,514-square-metre warehouse in Johor, Malaysia, as it expands its contract logistics network across Southeast Asia.
The facility is the first of two warehouses planned for Malaysia. A second site in Kuala Lumpur is scheduled to open later this year.
The Johor warehouse is located within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone and is intended to support warehousing and inbound logistics operations for customers with complex and time-sensitive supply chains.
DP World said the facility would strengthen connections between Malaysia, Singapore and key regional trade corridors while providing additional capacity for contract logistics activity.
Jeanie Tan, DP World’s chief commercial officer for logistics in Asia Pacific, said the opening formed part of the company’s broader investment in logistics assets across the region.
“The opening of our warehouse in Johor marks an important step in strengthening our growing logistics footprint across Southeast Asia,” Ms Tan said.
“As we continue to invest in strategic logistics assets across the region, and connect them to our existing network of ports and terminals, we are enhancing our ability to deliver end-to-end supply chain solutions that help customers move goods more efficiently, reliably and resiliently.
“This facility will accelerate our Southeast Asia growth and build the capacity needed to support our customers’ long-term success.”
The Johor warehouse is the latest investment in DP World’s strategy to build a contract logistics network across Southeast Asia.
The company is also planning warehouse openings in the Philippines and Thailand before the end of the year.
The investments follow the opening of DP World’s first warehouse in Singapore in May 2025. That facility has since achieved TAPA FSR certification.
DP World has also opened logistics facilities in Hong Kong, Sydney and Icheon, South Korea.
The company operates 16 ports and terminals across Asia Pacific. It said its expanding contract logistics platform links those assets with warehousing and inland transport services, including air, ocean, LCL and intermodal freight services.
DP World said the combined network was intended to provide greater connectivity and operational flexibility for customers moving goods through Southeast Asia, while supporting the company’s broader expansion in the region.
