NSW PORTS has released images of the third large ship to visit in as many weeks at Patrick Terminals – Sydney Autostrad, the impressive MSC Antonella.

The Mediterranean Shipping Company vessel is capable of carrying around 9400 TEU and is 300 metres long x 48.2 metres wide.

NSW Ports says MSC Antonella is “environmentally efficient” as it is recognised under the port’s environmental shipping incentive program.

“NSW Ports is passionate about sustainability and  environmental performance and we are taking the lead in Australia by rewarding shipping companies that produce less pollution,” the port said.

“Since launching our environmental shipping incentive in January 2019, we now have over 250 ships registered in the program.”

The program encourages and rewards ships visiting Port Botany and Port Kembla for implementing environmental efficiency measures. It also supports the World Ports Sustainability Program.
