THE CMA CGM Group has announced its chairman and CEO, Rodolphe Saadé, has signed the Ocean Alliance Day 4 Product, with Cosco Shipping, Evergreen and OOCL.
The new offer, which will start in April 2020, gives customers more port calls, more direct links and better transit times.
With the Day 4 Product, the group’s customers will benefit from the use of 325 container ships (112 of which will be operated by the CMA CGM Group), 38 services, and an estimated carrying capacity of around 3.8 million TEU.
The Ocean Alliance provides a comprehensive service offer on the Transpacific trade with 19 services; a strong offer between Asia and Europe with seven services and four services between Asia and the Mediterranean. It is the only alliance offering four services between Asia and the Middle East.
Mr Saadé said, “One year after the extension of Ocean Alliance until 2027, the launch of the Day 4 Product will enable us to further strengthen the competitiveness and quality of CMA CGM’s offer.
“With this agreement, we are pursuing the continuous improvement of our services for the benefit of our customers.”
