MARITIME Industry Australia and Hunterlink have put together the Australian Seafarer Wellness Survey, which attempts to gauge the attitudes of seafarers across a broad range of issues.

It is hoped that the survey is circulated across the breadth of the industry and those in the industry are encouraged to share the link:  https://www.questionpro.com/a/TakeSurvey?tt=po9PnxAhgcw%3D

The survey will be open for one month until 5 March, 2021 and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Responses are anonymous and the responses will be reported in aggregate.

The survey aims to reveal contemporary sentiments of Australian seafarers regarding their sense of worth in relation to work, and their confidence and willingness to engage in peer-to-peer support, particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

MIAL will aim to use the results of the survey to advance with government and industry measures that could help to improve seafarers’ sense of value.

Hunterlink aims to use the results of the survey to tailor its support and better equip seafarers to identify mental health issues and start conversations with peers in this respect.
