THE new facility of Autocare Services has been officially opened, located on Radar Street in the Port of Brisbane’s Port West industrial estate at Lytton.

Autocare Services, part of the LINX Cargo Care Group, has worked with the Port of Brisbane since October 2018 to build this off-wharf storage area, developing the land into a modern facility with premium vehicle storage and accessibility.

The new area is more than 100,000 square metres and caters for up to approximately 4500 vehicles under hail mesh coverage.

This move consolidates its Brisbane operations from five satellite off-wharf storage locations into one. Autocare has conveniently positioned itself closer to the major Brisbane freeway interchanges to offer better access to metropolitan and regional dealerships.

This new facility adds to the existing capacity of Autocare’s PDI and storage facilities, located on Fisherman Islands at the Port of Brisbane.

Port of Brisbane CEO, Roy Cummins, said the port was pleased to work closely with Autocare to support its future growth by constructing purpose-built facilities that have created logistics efficiencies and increased the flexibility of its operations.

“Our Port West estate is one of the most impressive industrial precincts in the region with unrivalled road connectivity and seven kilometres to the port’s wharves and terminals,” Mr Cummins said.

“We’re delighted to welcome Autocare to Port West and look forward to continuing to work together well into the future.”
