Stevedore, Townsville Marine Logistics loaded 33,000 tonnes of zinc ingots over seven days.

The “high quality zinc” is destined for New Orleans, US, and is a product of Sun Metals Refinery.

According to Port of Townsville, zinc is ideal for a wide range of applications, and is particularly well suited to those requiring corrosion resistance such as galvanisation, an anti-corrosion process used to protect steel products.
