FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM was awarded the title of ‘Best Global Shipping Line’ at this week’s Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards in Hong Kong.
According to judges, CMA CGM was awarded due to its “customer-centric approach in shipping and logistics”.
The result was determined by votes from 15,000 industry professionals in Asia. The award was also said to have highlighted the group’s “good customer relations by offering them services that are tailored to meet their needs and by innovating to always exceed their expectations”.
The Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards recognises and honours the service providers in the industry who have shown leadership as well as consistency in service quality, innovation, customer-relationship management and reliability.
CMA CGM’s 511 vessels serve more than 420 ports on five continents around the world and carried nearly 21 million TEU in 2018.
