MEDLOGs on at Minto

MSC’s landside transport and logistics subsidiary MEDLOG will launch its own Sydney intermodal facility and empty container park at the end of this month, promising door-to-door service to/from all three Port Botany container terminals.

The 11.77-hectare Minto site was sold by Qube in March this year to property group Goodman for a reported $200 million, and leased off-market to MEDLOG through Colliers. Goodman also owns the Keylink Industrial Estate next door (13ha).

In its marketing Colliers noted the site, at 9 Stonny Batter Road, has a substantial 128,900m² landholding incorporating 22,343m² of warehouse accommodation and 71,876m² of heavy duty hardstand with the ability to stack containers up to five high.

The facility will ‘go live’ on 29 September and deliver a seamless, door-to-door logistics solution—reducing last-mile delivery costs, improving turnaround times, and supporting greener supply chain practices, MEDLOG says.

Features include:

  • Direct rail connectivity to Port Botany
  • Servicing all three major terminals: DP World, Patrick and Hutchison
  • 6,000 TEU FCL hardstand stacking capacity
  • Empty container park operations (which begin 22 September)
  • Reefer storage (82 points)
  • Warehousing, fumigation, and rural tailgate services

The ECP will operate from 0600 to 1600, Monday to Friday and the Notification Fee per container will be the same as MEDLOG’s Port Botany ECP = $220 (+GST). MEDLOG will use Containerchain (now rebranded as CargoWise VBS) for the truck arrival and notification booking interactions.

MEDLOG has been expanding rapidly across Australia over the past two years and introducing full-suite services across its sites.
