A DOCUMENTARY about the work of women with seafarers during World War 1 was officially launched at Melbourne Mission to Seafarers this week.

Entitled Harbour Lights, the movie is almost eighteen minutes long and was produced by Lucinda Horrocks and Jary Nemo of Wind and Sky, with assistance from the Mission including historian Jay Miller.

The film profiles the dangerous work of merchant mariners and the great work of the women of Melbourne. Included is some great historic images and footage.

The launch in Melbourne attracted a large gathering.
