IN A world where speed and adaption are essential, the Supply Chain Innovation & Technology Award is particularly topical.
Last year’s winner was Svitzer Australia. Judges praised the company on several accounts, including for its National Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy and for the introduction of Svitzer Barrington (the world’s first TRAnsverse 3200 tug) to its Australian fleet at Newcastle. It was noted that the Svitzer Barrington represented measurable supply chain benefits.
According to Svitzer, the recognition reflected the “hard work and dedication of our teams across Australia and globally, and the invaluable support of our partners, customers and port stakeholders”.
“Together, we’ve helped position the TRAnsverse 3200 as a new global benchmark for towage technology,” the company stated.
“This award also reinforces our ongoing commitment to strengthening local maritime infrastructure and enhancing safe, efficient and advanced towage services across key ports.”
Sponsoring the award this year is The MCC Group which says it is “passionate about supply chain innovation and supporting an industry that evolves so rapidly”.
