WISETECH Global has announced that ATC Aviation Services, part of the World Freight Company (WFC) portfolio, is the first general sales and service agent (GSSA) to make air freight services for the airlines they represent available to freight forwarders on CargoWise AirlineConnect.

GSSA companies are third-party agencies that represent an airline’s cargo operations in a specific region, providing sales, operational, and strategic support.

At launch, CargoWise customers have access to capacity and services from a broad portfolio of airlines represented by ATC Aviation in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, with additional airlines expected to be added across WFC’s international network.

The direct data connection enables freight forwarders to search, compare, plan and book ATC’s services within CargoWise, the industry’s leading logistics execution platform, accessing available capacity, schedules, services and dynamic pricing and completing digital bookings 24/7 within their existing workflow.

As the integration supports booking confirmations, amendments, cancellations and status updates it helps freight forwarders respond more quickly to changing capacity requirements, market conditions and time-critical shipment requests.

World Freight Company group CTO, Titus Hientzsch, said the direct API connection to CargoWise was “an important step in the WFC’s digital transformation”.

“It reduces manual rate requests, email exchanges and repetitive data entry, supporting greater data accuracy, consistency and process traceability while reducing the risk of manual errors,” Mr Hientzsch said.

“Beginning in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, we intend to progressively expand this capability across WFC’s network, increasing the digital reach of our airline partners and providing customers with a faster and more accessible booking experience.”

WFC’s portfolio of brands market and manage cargo capacity on behalf of more than 300 airlines across over 3,500 trade lanes worldwide.

WiseTech vice president- logistics data, Jorre Cobelens, said ATC’s integration broadened the range of airline services available to freight forwarders through a single digital booking environment.

“It also creates an additional digital distribution channel for the airlines represented by ATC, making their capacity and services more accessible to the global freight-forwarding community using CargoWise,” Mr Cobelens said.

“GSSA networks represent the next phase of our strategy, expanding the bookable network available to CargoWise customers.”
