THIS week Daily Cargo News is launching The DCN Weekly, a podcast that aims to bring listeners a concise roundup of the week’s maritime and logistics news.

This week we look at the Australian Border Force’s seizure of what it suspects to be cocaine on a ship at Port Botany.

Also, we talk about the Australian Transport Safety Bureau’s investigation of a near-grounding of a bulk carrier in Hydrographers Passage.

We also touch on the US Federal Maritime Commission’s findings about competition among ocean carriers, Ports of Auckland calling off its automation project and several new leadership appointments at shipping and ports companies.

The DCN Weekly will be published every Friday afternoon and a link will be included in every Monday’s daily news bulletin (unless Monday is a holiday, as is the case this week, then it will be in Tuesday’s bulletin).

Thanks for listening.
