VICTORIAN minister for ports, freight and public transport Melissa Horne will join a number of industry leaders presenting at the Victorian Transport Association’s Port Outlook seminar on 6 August.

The VTA hosts this annual event aimed at highlighting the importance of the Victorian ports sector in national supply chains.

“We are thrilled that Minister Horne has agreed to deliver a keynote address at Port Outlook and outline the Victorian government’s strategic vision for our ports and waterways, which are an essential part of the Victorian and national economy,” VTA chief executive Peter Anderson said.

“Without an efficient port network we all suffer, which is why it is essential to achieve regulatory and other settings that make our ports the most attractive for importers and exporters,” he said.
