DOCUMENTS presented to Daily Cargo News indicate that the debts owed by embattled logistics company ACFS Port Logistics are now in the order of $486m.

This figure also has been quoted by the Australian Financial Review which has also reported on the topic.

DCN has approached the Tzaneros family for comment but was still to hear back by the time of publication.

The Tzaneros family has previously argued the figures quoted are misleading.

As has been widely reported, the family is attempting to retake control of ACFS but the administrators and receivers are attempting to start a sale process and gauge the value of the business.

Arthur Tzaneros previously resigned as chief executive after comments in regards a controversy at Scots College in Sydney reached the media.

A Federal Court hearing in August on whether to wind up ACFS Port Logistics was adjourned for a month.

The matter was brought before the court by the Australian Tax Office but was adjourned at the request of other creditors.

DCN has previously sought comment from creditors but they have so far not taken up the opportunity to share their perspective in this public journal.
