FREIGHT-focused tech company WiseTech has confirmed the retirement of Michael Gregg from its board of directors ahead of this week's annual meeting [Friday, 21 November].
According to the company website, Mr Gregg joined the board in February 2025, having earlier been an independent non-executive director from 2006 until 2022.
Mr Gregg is also the founding partner at Shearwater Capital.
“As previously announced on 19 June 2025, Michael Gregg had informed the board that he intended to retire prior to the 2025 annual general meeting, as part of the board renewal program,” WiseTech said in a statement to investors.
“The board confirms that Mr Gregg’s retirement will take effect as of the close of business… Thursday 20 November 2025.
“The board extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr Gregg for his many meaningful contributions to the growth and success of WiseTech, and for his dedicated service to the company as a director since 2006.”
From the close of business on Thursday 20 November, the audit and risk committee is to comprise independent nonexecutive directors Andrew Harrison (committee chair), Roberto Castaneda and Sandra Hook.
In addition, Andrew Harrison is to assume the role of chair of the nomination committee.
“The board is continuing to progress discussions with additional director candidates, with a view to announcing the appointment of at least one additional independent non-executive director by 31 December 2025,” the company said in a statement.
The annual meeting is occurring just weeks after WiseTech’s offices were searched by the Australian Federal Policy and the Australian Securities and Investment Commission regarding alleged trading in company shares by co-founder Richard White and three WiseTech employees.
